A Quick Transition

  Hello again. We left Thailand after a two days trip from Koh Chang. It takes two days cuz we didn't push ourselves too much this time and take a stop by the closest town to the border called Khlong Yai. Actually the border town is Hat Lek but the weather was changing quite fast and when the rain starts we stay in Khlong Yai for the night. In the morning all we have to do is pedal for an hour to reach the border and one more hour to the first city called Koh Kong which is where we are right now.

 These kids were just great. Every time we get tired and had a break Culu just chat a while with them and fill his soul with their smiles. It is his new fuel for the road.

 Koh Kong is a little fishermen town on the south-west coast of Cambodia. It is also a gateway for whom are seeking wildlife adventures cuz it is located just in the middle of three biggest wildlife sanctuaries and national parks. But at the coasts of the river it seems like an abandoned fishing village to me.

Chantaburi-Tai Mai

  Hey there, This quick episode will be about this little town called Tai Mai in Chantaburi. We were there right before Koh Chang and we were exhausted those two days. We got some rest there and not post anything about so now i am giving a little info about the place.
  Tai Mai is a little fishermen village about 10 km from Chantaburi. Why we end up here is Culu's hurry to reach the ocean. After leaving the mountains he was so keen on going to the beaches before we leave Thailand. So the easiest place for us on the road was Chantaburi but we couldn't find any place there cuz they don't accept dogs. I found it a bit raciest though. Then Culu decided to camp on the beach and we head to the closest and supposedly to the most beautiful beach but we couldn't get there before sunset and stayed in Tai Mai.





























  When we wake up we got on the bike and pedal quickly to the Chao Lao beach where we put our feet in the water first time in Thailand. It was my first ocean experience. I was hunting shade while Culu enjoys the sun.

  It was our first totally relaxed day since we start that shit. Culu was reading this book called "Amber Hymns" from Malik Crumpler. He is a poet from New York and visited us last year in Istanbul. He came to Culu's exhibition and gave his book to him. It's the only book Culu brought to the trip.
  In the evening we just hang out in the town and had some new friends. Mostly spend the night with them and try to communicate in thai.

Siamese Dream: Koh Chang

  Hey guys! Welcome to Koh Chang and sorry for this delayed post due to the lack of internet connections. Probably the monkeys ate the fiber-optic cables. So we came here four or five days ago after a quick ride from Tai Mai in Chantaburi. We will post that episode later on. The reason we came here is our friend Alpacook. He told us to come here and find this guy called Jeb at the very far end of the island on the south coast called Bang Bao. It's a tiny fisherman village and has some beautiful hidden bays and beaches. We supposed to find Jeb and his place Djambe House but Jeb wasn't there for the first few days. But at least we were there in that exact beach Alpacook told us. Culu really likes chasing clues and rumours. All you need to do is go after it and somehow you end up in a ridiculous place which surprise you big time. Anyway we are staying on the beach right in front of the ocean at the place called Sugar Beach owned by a turkish guy and a thai girl; Mustafa and Su. Cool people. He is running the place since 3 years now. Culu is helping him with some designing ideas and painting some walls of his little paradise he tries to build up here.
  The island's situated at the south-east coast of Thailand in the province of Trat. You take a boat and find yourself in this beautiful island all covered by the tropical forest and the beaches around the coastline. It's just unbelievable to be here after so much effort. We will be crossing the boarder to go to Cambodia in the beginning of december. So we are just having a relaxed time of 9 days in this Siamese paradise. I rented a scooter and now taking Culu to some motorbike rides around the island. I think he really liked to have this scooter to hang around without spending any effort. Well i think there's not much to say this time. Being here feels like being in one of those Walt Disney's cartoons.
